Winter Season Forest Exploration-A Members Only Event

Are you looking forward to getting out in nature with a knowledgeable guide? Can you tell a birch from a beech from a poplar in winter?

Good friend to MMLT, Owen Clarkin, will be talking about and showing us the trees and shrubs that make up the woods at High Lonesome and answer any questions you might have. If snow
conditions permit, snowshoes may be necessary.

Owen has been studying the trees of Eastern Ontario as a dedicated amateur since the age of 4. Since finishing a terminal degree in the natural sciences in 2012, he is more seriously exploring
topics in tree identification and ecology from an Eastern Ontario perspective, together with a core group of colleagues. In addition to leading public nature hikes, Owen regularly contributes
to local and worldwide plant identification forums on social media.

This event is FREE to MMLT members but registration is very limited.  Please avoid disappointment and register early at winter-tree-identification-with-owen-clarkin
